Panel: Is Bradley Manning a hero or a traitor?

Эксперты МГИМО: Истомин Игорь Александрович, к.полит.н.

The court-martial against Army Pfc. Bradley Manning began this week in Maryland where the 25-year-old faces charges of aiding the enemy for his role in giving thousands of classified U.S. documents to whistle-blower website WikiLeaks.

Manning has already pleaded guilty to 10 of the lesser charges that could earn him up to 20 years in prison. Yet the whistle-blower has denied the most serious charge of aiding the enemy, a charge which carries a life sentence.

The Voice of Russia American Edition hosted an international panel discussion to analyze the young man’s case and trial, the prosecution of whistle-blowers and more.
