This article discusses the regulatory framework of resolution regimes for failing banks in the Russian banking sector. It includes an analysis of the Central Bank of Russia and its policies to strengthen the financial stability sound. The aim of the article is to examine current regulatory solutions for the failing banks in Russia, including grounds to claim insolvency of commercial banks and the effects of their practical implications. It also provides an overview of the recent trends in court practices regarding failing banks’ cases.
