The article addresses some new employability skills, which are gaining in importance. Alongside with critical thinking and creativity, attention management, concentration, self-reflection, emotional intelligence and other soft skills come to the forefront due to the information overload, disruptive innovations, and drastic shifts on the labour market. As a rule, attention management is taken for granted, nonetheless, many modern students suffer from attention deficit, short attention span, poor memory, and retention, that manifest themselves in careless instruction reading, spelling mistakes while copying tasks, inability to distinguish between facts and opinions, and such like.
